Aldehyde C-9 (10% in DPG) is a short-chain fatty aldehyde with a sharp, citrusy, slightly waxy and green scent, often used to create a bright, sparkling top note in floral, citrus, and fougère compositions. It imparts freshness, energy, and radiance in small amounts, especially in classic aldehydic perfumes or soap-style blends.

This 10% dilution in DPG (Dipropylene Glycol) makes it suitable for use in attars, oil-based perfumes, roll-ons, solid perfumes, and incense oils where a clean aldehydic top is desired.
